About this site
The current version of the Matterform Web site was unveiled in March 2006. Our previous design was more than six years old and terribly stale. We had been putting off a redesign partly due to lack of time (the perennial trouble of the cobbler's children) and partly out of resentment for the rotten state of Web site publication technologies. During 2005 we tried several open source technologies (many of them blog-based), trying to find the future of Web publishing.
Finally, in complete exasperation, we started development on our own Web site technology. We will soon be making this technology, currently code-named Voltaire, available to other Web developers. Stay tuned!
